how to make a rs private server

please note i do not work for jagex nor do i have anything to do with jagex aside from using there codes for my own amusement links: (all of these are required unless it says its not) allstarscape v2: www.havenworld.co.uk n++ (highly reccomended) : sourceforge.net no-ip: www.no-ip.com jdk: java.sun.com links to helpful sites (not required): status checker: www.moparscape.org moparscape forums: www.moparscape.org rune-server forums: www.rune-server.org setting up your router 1.)go to start- run- cmd.exe 2.)type in "ipconfig" (without the "") 3.)find the one that says 192.168.1.--- (if your pc is hooked directly into your modem it will be 192.168.1.1) for example mine was 192.168.1.110 4.)write your ip down( you will need it for step #7) 4.)most routers hompeage is 192.168.1.1,type that in on your browser (you eventually memorize it) 5.)google what your user and pass is (for linksys the user is blank and pass is admin on default) 6.)find port forwarding (under games and applications most likely) 7.)port forward 43594-43594 and click both (tcp/udp on some routers) and forward it to the ip you wrote down earlier 8.)save the settings heres how you make yourself the owner: go into the allstarscape folder-characters- then click on the file with your name on it (you have to have logged in first) and where it says user rights-0 change the 0 to 3 (while your logged out)(save it before you re log in)
