I needed a router that could let me share a printer through a usb port because I don't have too many outlets to plug in more stuff. I also wanted a gigabit wireless N router since I also have one with these specifications and vpn. This one has all of the above plus two usb ports except vpn. I thought it had vpn also. I decided to give this one a try since it has most of the specifications I was looking for and was a heck of a lot less than what I paid for my old router which still works by the way. Very similar specs to my other router. This one has all gigabit ports including the wan port. 2. Configuration software looks nice, the old zyxel software was this plain light blue if I remember correctly. 3. USB ports work great on Windows XP, these work just as if you had those components plugged right into your computer. The printer gets picked up automatically which is nice. The hard drives too, but since it's as if you connect it to the usb port on the computer anyone on the lan can have access to it. 4. More affordable than many routers out now so this was one of the main attractions for me. 5. I should mention that I contacted ZyXEL and was very pleased to have a person pick up on the other side. You are! ok guys if you really didn't understand the video please use these steps! Step 1: Open up your web browser and go to 192.168.1.1 thats the default Step 2: Go to firewall settings ( If you are asked to enter a username and password, the defaults should be Username is admin and the password is password) Step 3: Go to port forward Step 4: Create ports. I suggest Xbox1, Xbox2, Xbox 3,Xbox4,and Xbox5 Step 5: The ports you should open are 3074, 80, 88, 1863, and 53. Step 6: After you open all of those ports then manually type in the Ip address ( If you want to find ip address go to desktop, start, run, and then cmd. Then type in ipconfig/all and you should find it) Step 7: Then you should type in the ip for all of the Ports Step 8: Then go to Static NAT Step 9: Then when you are there type in your ip that your using for your Xbox Live connection Step 10: Then enable it ( When you enable it, it should say you have an Open Nat) Step 11: Then go to Advanced Step 12: Then find Universal Plug and Play Step 13: Then enable it Step 14: You should be done, it might speed up your Xbox Live connection ( for me it made me only have an Open Nat which is good for playing games such as Call Of Duty.
